Hi Guys,

New to bar repair. I had this blow out on me and I bought some replacement parts which turned out to be the wrong parts.

Bar is a 2009 RPM.

Joshie- what you have there is the 2007-2009 lock-n-load bar setup.

Chicken loop rope is of a different design than the comp stick so no go on the link you have there. There is a replaceable bearing in the chassis that your chicken rope goes through. If the bar has seen a lot of salt water the bearing may come out in pieces. Either way you'll have a little project driving the bearing out of the body.

I'll round up some pieces and parts from my older bars and post if others don't get there first.

Thanks dude. So if I buy rope and the bearing I'll be good go go after that (assuming the other one does in face fall apart)

Yeah sorry my bad shoulda put in the original post that it was a bar from a 2009 RPM.

You're in there so might as well spend the $4 on a new bearing for silky smooth rebuild
Cool

Sorry. New bungee needed also, to be honest I don't know if a newer comp stick one can be used. Might have to inquire on that...slingshot lists the bungee as a 2008-2009 part and not a comp stick one.

Don't forget to tension load the line before you place your set-screw into the cleat housing!
You may require some unlocking lubricants to free your bearing ring from inside the chickenloop as well.
