Fri Jul 25, 14 7:44 pm Question on board rental in Mancora |
|

So just before snowkite season gets underway here in Montana this autumn, I have booked a trip to Mancora. Does anyone know if boards are available for rent?
Cheers and Windy Regards

There are kite schools and instructors right in Mancora that you can probably get you kiteboards. Plus, the town is a surfspot with a left point right in downtown central so there are strapless surfboards available from shops and surfers to rent.
You might consider staying at this resort:

as it is right at the best launching beach and slightly out of the noisy central area. You will like Mancora, but you might hire a surfing/kiting guide to show you some of the other gems in on the north coast. |

Just got back from Peru. Spent a week in Mancora. Stayed at Las Olas right on the surf point. Loved it. We launched and landed right out in front of the hotel and were right on the surf if there were no surfers out, which is rare. Kited 6 out of 7 days. Next time I go I would just rent a board. They're about $10 a day and when you figure out all the money you'll pay the airlines and bus lines it's worth it. Two places that had kiteboards were the Shop at Loki Hostel and a kite shop one block north on 1N of Calle Piura. One last tip. Go to Pacasmayo. If you get it, which you don't always do, it'll change your life. Ciao |
