The forecast looks good for Monday. Whatca think about a down winder from fort Stevens to seaside? The more the merrier! Maybe parking lot B? That would be longer! Maybe meet around 1pm?

We want to catch some of that wed thurs wave action. Any suggestions for a down winder or park n play for that? Any suggestion for camping in our 30ft motor home for tues, wed, thurs nights?

Fort stevens has loads of campsites and plenty of beach even when crowded. The wreck of the peter Iredale ("Shipwreck") is a great spo,t right inside fort Stevens, when I'm flying solo when its 18mph+ north or south wind. downwinders from shipwreck to sunset beach or vise versa are good on 15mph+
I might be in for a downwinder Thursday as I have no pressing jobs scheduled. Shuttling is easy driving right on the beach. |

Lot B (Ft. Stevens) to Shipwrecks was great today! Tiny waves but great wind! |

Gonna be at the coast around noon/1pm. Gotta truck to bring fellow kiters back to the shipwreck after the downwinders. Look for a silver dodge ram with a silver canopy. Feel free to shoot me a text if you feel the need. 503-438-5951. It's gonna be FUN!

That was fun. So many kites in the air at shipwreck.
Keep an eye out for a big orange kite. A gentleman had to ditch his kite. He said "last he saw it, it was on it's way to Japan." He will be posting details at some point. |

wow!
probably not a bad idea to put your name and number on your kite so if the coast guard finds it they can call off the search for the person they thought was attached to it!
sunday was pretty good wind, probably best north coast wind I've had this summer. could have used a bit more swell activity tho! _________________ www.jimstringfellow.com |
