I accidently left my booties damp with river water in my hot car for 2 days recently and the stank coming out of them now physically hurts my nose.

Anyone recommend a good powder or spray that wont eat the neoprene?

There is Kill the Stink in scuba shops. I have used watered down bleach. Then I always dry then with a Peet shoe dryer. http://www.peetdryer.com/product_original.html

A shot of White vinegar will fix that - let it marinate for a bit

Rip Curl 'Piss Off' Wetsuit cleaner - it cleans and kills the microbacteria that causes the stank in yo' booty.

Or

McNett 'Mirazyme' - cleans and eats microbacteria. We use it in our rental boots and for used ski/snowboard boot inventory. Also works well on stinky flip flops.

We sell both at 2nd Wind

Soak them in a solution of Oxyclean. I actually run my wetsuits through a gentle wash cycle with it and they come out smelling like new.

diluted bleach water works. I Use it on everything from kiting gear to diving gear with no adverse effects and solid results.
