Living here on the central Oregon coast paid off with good dividends today as it was forecasted to be no north wind today and most likely just light offshores. Well after working till 4 pm all day indoors which just sucked rocks, I finally crawled out of my cage to find it 75 degrees, sunny and 15-18 knots from the north at the local kitesurfing spot. Raced to the beach and discovered a ghost town with no kiters anywhere which is not that uncommon around here, a few surfers out to share the lineup. It was a short session as the wind faded after an hour of kiting, but it sure felt good to get wet and score some waves.

Thumb's Up ....opposite for us down here today...they called it but it never showed...

Funny how noaa can manipulate your psyche. They call it and it doesn't happen and it's sour grapes.
They don't call it and it happens and it seems like a gift...Something to be said about going down to the beach to have a look...Big Data doesn't always get it Rolling Eyes

They slashed his tires and put doggie-doo under his door handles... Very Happy

(And they'll do it to yours too.)

Most of the surfers out there yesterday were some of my best friends. We all get along just fine and share a common stoke for surfing waves. The only one who was grumpy was my buddy PJ who didn't have his kite gear with him and only had his surf gear thus he was relegated to catching waves the old school way of paddle strokes.

No wind today so I too ended up chasing waves with just my arm strength!

Very Happy
