I would love to head out that way for a long weekend if there's a group I could tag along with. I don't know the area at all. I was out that way last winter with thermal foundations and had a blast but there's no trips this year.
I would find my own lodging. I have a 4x4 tacoma and a Snowmobile.

Just booked flights into Boise arriving Friday leaving Monday AM. Where are people staying? I emailed soldier mountain ranch about availability of cabins. Stayed there a few years ago during snowkite soldier and had a good time.

I would be in for driving out there but could not leave until saturday the 22nd.
I would be dirtbagging it in my tacoma. Done it many times before, but am not familiar with that area.
Ken, are you thinking of driving out? |

hardpacked in the valey floor but suposed to get snow
for the next few days then sunny weather
sat sun!! looks like the transition from snowing to sun
should be goood wind hopefully aswell
we will most likely be trying the snowmobile park first day
i should be there thur 4 or so!
hope to see some

| Dust on crust. I think your best bet is the snowmobile park. Plenty of snow to cover most of the shrubs down low, but the hills to the north of the park are still looking pretty thin . Off and on snow showers this afternoon, but no accumulation. Shit was coming down sideways. Downwinder from the Pine turnoff to the snowmobile park would be fun. |

looks like it's supposed to snow a couple more inches before the weekend.
Where is the snowmobile park? I have kited the pine turnoff spot, but not sure where else to go this weekend if the wind/snow isn't good there. |

The snowmobile park is just a turnout with a small shack about 3 miles east of the Pine Turn off. It is on the left hand side as you drive east. We should be there tomorrow also. I sent a PM with my info to maybe group up for Soldier Mountain. |
