Traveling to the land of light wind with a "small" 14m kite in hand (Re: all of the 17M chat on the forum Smile )

I'm not bringing my surfboard so wondering if anyone knows of a place to rent surfboards in Tulum. Last year I thought I saw a place hear Avis car rental but i'm not 100% on that.

cheers

We were there last May for 2 weeks out by the Sian Ka'an biosphere and kiteboard shop/lesson signs are numerous. Extreme and Morph seem to be the most popular but everyone speaks English and is very friendly so finding a board should be no problem. Obvio, email or call to confirm as I never did see one other kite while I was there but our beach was a bit remote. It was 14M and light...but it did blow everyday with little punters etc.

I was down there last year and rented from morph. Was $100 for the whole week. He actually makes his own boards. Really nice guy. He even delivered to my resort. I forget his name though.

He said he sold his shops because he wanted to ride on the good wind days, not teach. But he still had boards to rent out.

thank you Justin, I checked out his website. Man he has some really great pictures on there. Regarding his shop/school, is it within one of these closed off hotel complexes you see dotted along the road or can you just walk on in there?

His school is at the first hotel after you make the right turn from town to the beach.
About 7 km from town is what I would guess. A nice bike, but a long walk. Papaya
Playa Project is the hotel.
