So, I've been down in Mexico and been wanting to use the warm weather for some new video inspiration. Turns out, I found a lot of interesting situations where thoughful handling with your foil board is necessary. So, I started to get busy with the camera. Let me know what know what other positions could be useful and maybe I can try it next time.

Getting up feels different but the approach is similar to a surfboard. Bear off initially to get a little speed then firm up your lower body (especially feet) to control the squirrelly nature of the foil underneath. With many riders, heading upwind means they put more weight on the back foot, and the foil will shoot upwards and possibly break the water surface.
When I was learning, I tried to keep the board on the water as much as possible, therefore benefit from the balancing qualities of the board. I would experience short bursts of lift in the beginning and come back the next day stronger and more reactive body.
Here's a good idea of how the first try will go -Thanks for your efforts, Gabe!!!
