just got back from two weeks of la ventana. haven't been there for two years but do see some changes and also some things remain the same. baja joes has done some amazing work on their shop and the garage bar! playa central does a great job making it a welcoming spot to have a cup of coffee and check out the weekly public market.
wind was great rode my 10m pretty much everyday. 2 days of no wind, but we needed some time off the water to check out the whale sharks and todos.
good swell so hit the bufadora one day for overhead conditions. anyhow here's a video from our riding I put together while hanging out in the casita in the mornings
Did you rent a car? If so what was your experience.

We always rent a car just think to double the cost of the rental quote (once you add insurance). Our last trip we flew to Cabo instead of La Paz and we used Fox rental it was easy we had no issues at all. The drive isn't bad just watch the road for holes, cows, goats, ect.
You could probably get away without a car if you wanted to. We usually dont drive ours that much once where there but it's nice to get out for dinner or go see friends and stuff every once in a while _________________ Join the CGKA! Membership is only $10! I rented a car through dollar. I think the rental was $750 economy car for 2 weeks.
liability insurance is around an additonal $20 a day.
if you plan on doing downwinders, having a rental car will be beneficial. if you plan on hanging out in the central LV area, you can opt for a shuttle and then just hoof it around while in town. _________________ www.jimstringfellow.com

Very nice Jim! You captured a lot of the La Ventana experience in a short video! Looks like our snow is finally here with more to come. Time to switch to snowkite mode!
