I didn't think I'd see any more of it this year, but Jones is going off right now with the typical "summer" type forcing.
A bit late to take advantage of, but still a point of interest. At least to me...

No idea what it's like when it's easterly (which it was before today). But today it was westerly...

I kited Jones Tuesday 10-12, Stevenson Monday, and Rooster yesterday. Jones was steady 9m except for the first 200 feet off the beach (11m). It really was similar to summer west winds. I was fairly lit on the washington side in the alley. The wind was cold though compared to Rooster and Stevenson, probably 10 degrees colder. I figure its all that valley air that is exiting, probably warmer late but definitely colder than the gorge.
Stevenson was good but gusty on my 6m. I didn't need to point as much as Jones or Rooster, must be less current. Rooster yesterday was crazy on my 6m. Completely lit the whole time. 74 degrees when I left. The sensor was down, or I might passed it for Stevenson. It didn't look too crazy, but the smaller waves fool you. The sensor came back on last night and showed it was 35 with gusts to 45 while I kited! It was really too windy to jump big. I might have to pick up a 4m and a tiny board....
Here's Rooster Yesterday

Wouldn't u know the gauge is down again this morning like every day:-(. I was out yesterday and the wind was pretty good at rooster. There was a guy on a naish draft for racing and he was boosting higher than anyone and when he came off he said it was the highest he had probably gone. The draft worked really well as the kite shape actually changes when you depower and the kite absorbed the gusts super well. Maybe another day today. Thought it was supposed to lighten up today??

The models I've been looking at have it ramping down today at Rooster - winds dropping in earnest around midday or early afternoon. But I don't have enough experience with Rooster and these models yet to know how good they do here...

Kited on my 8 m at Bridal Veil and Rooster yesterday and today. Lit for shore.
Sensor works, just intermittent cell service. It was working at 8:00 am when I was about to leave. Just look early and late after max cell talk volume and you get a good idea of what it's like that day. Got Bridal from 9:30-11:30. Got wicked at the end, wind better on Or side.
Too windy to boost? Waaaa?
