 Sun Sep 01, 13 9:19 am dalton to rooster then back! |

| Pretty weird day yesterday. My buddy and I got to Dalton yesterday to do the easterly down winder to rooster. It was like 1230 when we rolled up, the wind looked good, someone went out on an 8 right when we arrived so we pumped our 9s and grabbed skim boards. Got on the water at 1, The wind was pretty good on the way down. A little light but enough to mess around on the skims. When we got to rooster where everyone pumps up the wind as really light so we went in. Immediately the wind started blowing from the west. At this point we could see people kiting easterlies at Dalton and downwind by the pile on people were kiting westerlies! We then pumped our kites back up and within 10 minutes the westerlies had spread up to Dalton. We then on our nines with plenty of power kited back to Dalton!! Landed right on the boat ramp! A down winder both ways all in 2 hours as it was 3 when we got back to Dalton! Just in time to make it back to work in the hood on time! Downwindin back to the car sure beats hitchhikin! |

| Twas a weird day indeed. Had a lesson and we were rockin on 9's and 10's for about an hour and a half then dead and then west. Stoked to hear someone took advantage of the unicorn wind. I just bailed. |
