Fri Jul 26, 13 6:15 am Who pissed off the wind gods? |

Ok, the weekend was looking choice again for the Northern coast until the 9pm NOAA report last night. The forecast went from "totally sheek" to "totally geek". I mean the floor fell out. Next time your cracking that beer, make sure to spill a bit on the ground as an offering to the wind gods. I think at least the gorge forecast is ok for BOG this weekend.
Good winds to all and have a safe an adventurous weekend! |

Weird! My link to the same site reads differently. Yes, today looks good, and tomorrow looks marginal (Manzo 12m at least). If I go to the coast I like to get 2 days of sailing w/an overnight.
Tomorrow is could be iffy with the way MY forecast link.
Can anyone post Terma's forecast and post the link? I would be very interested w/what she thinks.

Her name is Temira... have some respect you yeti hairy heathen!
from Friday am:
"Models are a bit back and forth over the exact wind strength tomorrow, but it’s going to be windy. The clouds likely won’t make it past Hood River, meaning we’ll see 24-28 to start from Hood River to Mosier, picking up to Stevenson-Maryhill in the afternoon. There will be periods of 27-31 tomorrow pretty much everywhere, and models are insisting we’ll see a midday lull. I’m not sure I buy into that midday lull idea…
Sunday sees an even stronger marine push, resulting in, if the models are correct, a 28-32 sort of day. Strong west wind continues through Wednesday. Yay wind Johnnies and Betties! We have a fun stretch on tap!" |
