nope, slightly different aspect ration to possibly give smaller kites a little more power, 4 different attachment points to adjust turning and make it a little quicker like the 2012's were. Obviously the graphics to make all want to stay up with the newer looking kites. Had a chance to fly one in Maui a couple weeks ago and it felt pretty much the same to me but my name is not Patrick Rebstock:-)!!!!

2014's are pretty different than 2013's. KMG got it pretty correct though. 2014's have even more power than ever before so get a size smaller if you're on the fence about which size to get. They also come with the new 2014 Slingy bar which is an improvement. If you have any more specific questions just holler or give Slingshot customer service a call. I love the new 2014 Rally and can't wait to ride it some more!

Will there be another demo day ? maybe at the coast? The last one at rufus was good for SUP pickle by not so good for flying kites.

I know a lot of people were demo-ing a lot of the 2014 stuff at KB4C on Sunday. I'm not aware of any more kite demo's in the NW area anytime soon though. I'll check with Brave to see if he's doing any more around here this summer. If he is, I'll make sure to post that info here.

2014 stuff is going quick. Those new Rally's are flying off the shelves, so if you were thinking of getting one to ride the rest of this summer, I would pull the trigger quick! Not a sales pitch, we're already sold out of 6m for at least a month! Thanks for all the love and support NWKiters! <3 you guys!

For the guys that know us you know Boardin' Bob and I are solid Windwing guys thinking no one has made a better kite than the Rampage II 7M and 9.5 for the appropriate conditions, Gorge or Coastal. At KBC Dave invited Tess and I to the SS tent to spectate and avoid the sun. Bob's been pushing me on the Rally 14 for a snow kite and for a kite at the coast that I didn't have. Last year's Rally 14M was disappointing for me at the demo on the Coast but Dave sent me out on Sunday on the 14M and it is much improved. Nice steady power and turns very good. I still think SS needs to get more depower on their bars after a gust sent me on a downwind ride to hell reminiscent of my 2004 Fuels. I look to adding the Rally 14M to my quiver but don't tell John.

More attachment points for customization, fine tuned shape, smoothest kite out there. Loving mine in the waves

To follow up for those who care, rode the 2014 14m Rally back to back with the 2013 Rally 14m. Wind was fairly strong, but lots of lulls too.

Just my opinion so:

2014 outperforms 2013 in speed, with more depower, better bar, higher jumps, better graphics. More attachment points.

Hang time is unreal on both. 2013 better for beginners for safe cruising. Don't see how the new cleat on the 2014 is any different, still hard to pull. Nice swivel on the DD, better for unhooking.

Still prefer 2012 14m Rally over these mainly because I like a faster kite.
