Looking to take a trip to Ecaudor and possibly in Peru to kite in November with our 3 year old. I am an intermediate but have a long way to go and my husband is a strong kiter. Has anyone taken any trip to Santa Marianita in Ecaudor and might have some thoughts about if this might be a good area for us to be for the month?

I have been there!
I went in June and it was great, I think it is a summer spot, but not totally sure.
Stayed with Kitehouse Ecuador, with Nick, great times!

Thats some heavy kiting for a three year old!!!! I'm impressed, at three I was still trying to figure the whole surfing thing out(they didn't have kiting in the Dark Ages).
Bet ull have a blast!

November is right at the end of the windy season, you could get a few days or get denied. Best to bring a surfboard if you really want to be assured of getting some ocean recreation. If you go to the Mancora area, check out the Siskar's ocean front resort (Samana Shakra). Kiting is strait out if front, surfing is a short walk to the south and the place is safe and very deluxe for the family.

there were some great waist high mile long waves for SUP which were awesome in the morning.
If you have some more time, check out Montanita and Banos... also cool towns
