Email from the CGWA "The Freestyle Frenzy is back! After a 5 year hiatus, the CGWA is STOKED to help bring this great event back to one of North America's best windsurfing destinations. The American Windsurfing Tour and the CGWA have teamed up to get this event together with support from Xensor, and it is sure to be one of the highlights of the summer.
When: July 17-21 (The two windiest days)
Where: The Hatchery
What: Super Freestyle (Pro), Gorge Style, and Xensor Jump Off competition
Who: We have 30 riders registered so far including Pros, amateurs, Gorge Locals, kids, and women. All are welcome to come spectate and participate. Any Gorge Windsurfer who likes to sail at the Hatchery and jump should register to compete!
Registration is being held Tomorrow, Tuesday July 16, from 6pm-8pm, at Everybody's Brewing in White Salmon, WA. If you cannot make the registration session e-mail Greg at cgwa@gorge.net and we will make sure you get signed up.
We are in need of a few more volunteers who are available this week. Please e-mail Greg at cgwa@gorge.net if you would like to help out. Volunteers get an Event T-Shirt and fed during the event, plus get to enjoy this great event!
Parking will be tight, so please try to carpool. We will set up a shuttle as needed during the event allowing people to park at the Park-and-Ride lot next to the toll bridge. Be sure to check in at the Hatchery before you park to make sure the lot is full and the shuttle is running." |
