The Event Site ought to be either 100% mixed use all the time, or strictly kiting all the time. The war is over and kiting won, the windsurfers need to move on. There are sooo many strictly windsurfing launches in the gorge. It may be painful for a handful of die hard Event Site stragglers to drive to Luhr Jensen but at the benefit of the greater good.
The Event Site will be kite only, all season long, it's an eventuality. Support CGKA, help them keep pushing the papers and cutting through red tape. |

bought a pass this year to the Event site. When I realized you could no longer launch there, I got a refund.
If a thousand people did the same, I bet the Port would take notice!

Was there over last 4 days and it is nice to able to pump up a kite and launch from the grass when the water is high. I prefer to launch from the bar but it would be nice to land on the grass on a permanent basis.
It was real zoo over the holiday and finding room to pump up a kite can be a pain much alone getting launched off the grass. I found it hard to believe someone would walk their dog thru the kite pumping drying area.
