Hey All,

Thanks for a day of Kiting. It took me a while to get going but once I got the Rise out there with the Mako King - it was a fun time.

I'm trying to find a clean quiet place to stay for the next 8 days. Cheapest option is At the Dalles for about $40 bucks a night. If you have any thoughts on something closer to HR, let me know, Be happy with anything from a camper/trailer to a motel room. If you know of anything, let me know. Otherwise - I'll be driving.

Thanks
Dan

Viento State Park !
I stayed there it's great and close to Hood River . Hot showers and clean facilities .
Built in alarm clock ( trains ) too bad it's going off a lot but you get used to it and don't notice after a few blasts .
There's a hotel in Hood river just down from Walmart that has camping spots as well , with hookups .

Second the Bingen School House idea. It's a hostel with group rooms, but it should be very quiet and peaceful this time of year. You might even have the place to yourself.
