Anyone going out? I'm thinking either Fort Stevens or Manzanita. Not for sure, but knowing that others will be out there might help me make my decision...

Well, if you weren't out at the coast today, you should have been. It was solid and reasonably steady 7m winds at Manzanita all afternoon. I've got reports that Oceanside was similar.

My best session ever at the coast so far. Maybe best session anywhere. Awesome season so far.

Friday was day 5 in a row on central coast. Might post some photos later. Usually spring is cold, crappy and wet with a procession of cold fronts. This spring has been unreal so far, hope it stays like this this November.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Around 4:00 pm saturday in Seaside it was like a switch got turned on. Instead of gusty east winds, it turned north/northwest with cool salty air. A friend and I went out on 10m kites.

About half way through the session, Josh came cruising through doing a downwinder from somewhere north. We left around 7:30 and it was still blowing.

Took a snapshot this morning around Cannon Beach at 7:00 am just as sun was coming over coast range.

What a great week of coastal kiting. wed and thurs winds were just the best, and the swell perfect, with a little sw in it. Surprised

Sunday was the same thing at north coast -- unsettled easterlies till about 3:30... then a nice NW powering a fun downwinder to shipwreck. Beautiful day even if i did end up w/ a bit of a finger cut that chummed the waters for my following friends.
