Why the heck did I not come here sooner? La Ventana este es.
Got to Cabo San Lucas and then walked for too darn long in the hot Baja sol for about 2 miles a la bus stop. Asked a dude in Spanish, "Pardona me Senor, Necesita transportacion publica a San Antonio, por favor.." Then I caught the big bus from the station after about a 40 min. wait that I needed as I was hot, parched and thirsty. The bus station had a nice little snack bar and some water, beer and food. The restrooms were clean and people were very gracious. It’s kind of a small town feeling place for sure.
Got some water and sat down and realized one of my bags was missing. I must have left it on the city busscar that brought me from under the bridge to the main bus station, or maybe somebody took it? Either way I wanted to let somebody know my bag was missing and hope for the best.
Bought a ticket to La Paz for 175 Pesos, that's about $17 US and just sat down wondering if the bus driver would ever bring my bag, or was it long gone. I was resigned to the loss, but hopeful cause I’m a romantic lad prone to fits emotional tenderness and shit. After changing in the bathroom, which was Martha fn Stewart clean, charging my cell, and drinking some much needed water I was really tired. I saw the bus driver and said, "padona me, pero una equipe esta en el autobus?" He replied, "Un momento Senor.." about ten minutes later he brings my bag back and tells me, good luck and happy travels. They are such nice people down here and the whole time I'm thinking that dudes with the cartels are gonna come and kidnap me and force into the industry!!
Anyways, I hop on the bus and it's got TV's, reclining seats, a shitter and it's only 17bucks!! I was in heaven! I got my bag back, Ice Age 3 is playing, and I’m sipping a cold 1.5 Peso Modelo. The only thing that could make this any better if I had a seatbelt because El hermano at the wheel was fully certified NASCAR f@#$%ing crazy driving this bus!! And the roads in Mexico are at best marginal with random sink holes, cows and other highly NASCAR minded Baja driving crazy folks coming the other way. It was a fun ride.
Oh yea, I kited too.

HA! Great start to your Mexico time. I would run out of time and space here if I had to tell all of the many many times I've lost stuff here in Mexico, only to have some worried local running down the street with "Mi amigo, mi amigo! Se te olvidó esto!?"
I should qualify this a little bit... When you do a down-winder from the hotsprings DO NOT set your full wallet on the drivers seat for 3 hours for every passerby to look at. This rule holds true at the Event Site also. I had my window bashed in last month in La Ventana because of my stupidity.
Hasta, Cristobal
