Well I purchased a trainer kite package from a great and helpful HR school/shop. (i believe in supporting local)

I also took your advise and purchased the nitrous harness in addition to the package deal. Figured the family and others can use the extra equipment etc. so should be receiving the goods Sat. and the start of insanity Wink

I should have the kite part down soon and be ready for lessons (not sure if I can do the down south thing but never say never). Guess I will watch and learn about the other gear, and hopefully watch and learn some technique etc.

Thanks again for getting me started

Good luck! Once you're up and ridin' smooth, head over to the coast (Newport, or Lincoln City) with us sometime! You're only 20 mins north of me.

The season is pretty much over here in Oregon for beginners. In late May I'd recommend taking a trip down to floras lake and taking a lesson from Will. There isn't a better place to learn and the camping or staying at the bed and breakfast are first class. The campgrounfd is super kid friendly if you're a family man and the wind is always blowing down there. I've known a bunch of folks that were killing it after a weekend of lesson down there. Here's a link to info on it. Good luck and be careful. Kiting is the most addicting drug there is.
