When: Feb 22nd-24th, Freeride all weekend, (PBR–during conducive conditions)

Where: Fairfield, ID Malcomson Snowpark and beyond!

What: 1st Annual Prairie Blow-out Rally and Hill City Saloon bonfire after party Saturday Feb 23rd wind or no wind, rain or shine!

Why: In Lieu of the annual Snowkite Soldier’s postponement, friends of the Malcomson Snowpark are organizing the first annual Prairie Blowout Rally (PBR). Which involves a 15-mile challenge course navigating through some of Idaho’s most vast and difficult snowkite terrain. Come out and challenge yourself against kiters, topographical decisions, and a “3hr Death Clock”. Two courses will be set: Nobody loses, and everybody wins.

Suggested Donations: $13.00 includes free PBR Sticker - 100% (minus snowmobile fuel support) will be donated to the Mountain Home Snowmobile/Snowkite Club. They help ensure Elmore County plows sno-parks and turnouts, bathrooms services, and provide firewood for local warming huts.

We hope to see the return of Monty and Trisha’s Snowkite Soldiers in 2014, in the mean time we will keep the stoke alive and kick’in on the Camas Prairie this year!

“Just remember; it’s a long wayyyys home when your post-holinnn!”

Im very interested, how many of you are thinking of going from P-town?
Ill probily drive, and will have some space for a couple more if anyone wants to rideshare.

As for accomadations, does anybody ever just snowcamp in the Prairie? Is it legal?

You could snowcamp, but be prepared for chilly ass nights typically sub zero. This season has been exceptionally warm but its usually 10 to -10 most nights. Not fun after sweating through a pair of bibs and climbing into a 0 degree bag in an igloo.

Just sayin' it's prolly worth the $80 for a room you can cram 6 peeps in and share the cost.
