Chatted with Richard at the race before his second day ever on a paddle board. He was super nice and stopped to talk. He was fearing for his life and humored at the same time. When you have a film crew, helicopter, and a boat full of cameras you just got to move ahead. The segment did not give the full scope of the hazard but fun to watch. _________________ Gorge Performance

I was the boat guy and had the camera guys, sound guy, producer etc. with me. Never saw the finished product though..
It was big swell & blowing super hard on that 2nd day when they raced from Viento to HR swim beach. Poor guy had a tough time as a newbie but he stuck it out.
When Richard over shot the exit landing Charlie Burwell helped guide him to shore.
Nick Stuart coordinated much of the event plus he raced and placed!.
Crazy fun day. _________________ Send It! (>-----ðŸ„â€â™‚ï¸ |

Yes been waiting for this. And yes it was blowing so hard there were breaking waves at the Water Front Park. To be out in that on his second day was very very gutsy. He though did it on his knees (at least when I saw him). No shame since lots of others with way more experience were doing the same. But it is supposed to be STANDUP Paddleboarding. |
