Can anyone tell me if the launch at Stevenson is do-able on Easterlies? If so, where and how? I've kited there on Westerlies a couple of times but don't want to make the drive if the launch on Easterlies is not an option.
Thanks in advance for info... |

East winds launch is exact same as west winds. Launch from the west side of the rock and land on the east side. |

Exactly the same as day is to night. I've seen people (and self) get seriously f@ked up on a west wind launch.
On easties, only seen kites and people get wet. On a bad or mistimed launch, you're just looking at a relaunch instead of big boulders.
Landing on the other hand is a bit more intimidating. _________________ Kite Repair? AND WINGS Call me.(509) six 37-four five 29 |

Safest way is to launch and land down wind of the big rock. Walk out far enough to clear the tree. If you are very competent and it is not too windy you can land upwind of the rock. Always best to have help at Stevenson. If you downwind in and there isn't anyone to catch you the first person in should drop the kite in the water and reel it in.
