I personaly would die with out my stopper, when you ride as a job it gets though too hold on all day, after day, some companies do not use, I love to ride the stoper pulled down and say its just like the old two line maddnes, my question is< do you use the stopper or not and why, too avoid A.>B, still some companies seem really complicated, and in my experience line extensions are a real bummer,
I ride the stopper down so I can ride tomarrow, less arm pump, IN light wind and no stopper is a slow death? the secret agent.
P.S. how do you pull up your shorts, or push down your harness with no stopper,?? _________________ -know as the SECRET AGENT- |

I relate. I love having a stopper but have learned that today's kites are fairly easy to fly without one. I've flown Slingshot for most of my kiting experience and they've had them on most of the models. I remember getting a big Key and it didn't have one (I don't think the Z's do either). I got used to it but missed the ball that my smaller kites had. Stoppers are very nice for steady wind and when you have to pinch upwind a lot, I push it up and out of the way though when I'm trying to 'do something' like wave ride or tricks. Or when it is gusty and having to reset the ball all the time is annoying. I'm not saying I wouldn't buy a kite without a stopper ball, but it is almost a requirement for me. |
