Thu Sep 06, 12 2:00 pm Hood River forecast for this weekend? From Seattle. |
|
|
I was thinking about making the drive down this weekend to kite in Hood River. The forecast is seemingly not looking great but I don't particularly know what to look for in a Hood River forecast. What are your guys' thoughts? I'm advanced beginner - intermediate level. Can stay upwind for the most part but no guarantees, crash occasionally.

The way this year has been, if the forecast looks so-so, that means it's going to go off.

True dat. If you do head south plan on staying late as Sunday will be a good time.

According to the Windbow, West winds should return strong for Saturday afternoon, maybe even stronger than Sunday.

it's on the iwindsurf/ikitesurf website under "PG-Windbow Ext"
http://www.ikitesurf.com/windandwhere.iws?regionID=216&Isection=Windbow&short=0
it's kind of messed up now and goes down sometimes, but when it is working it seems really accurate. it is especially useful in the off season when there are no human generated forecasts
