Pepi. I want a autographed poster by the entrants. Are you going to auction the big wheel off?

It seems that there were some concerns about this function being more of a strip tease than a fashion show, and if this event reflects positively on Kiteboarding 4 Cancer and the Athletes for Cancer organization.
For the record...
If you don't know Colleen and Sensi (the organizers), they are class acts in every way and would never host or promote anything but a top-notch event that they would put their name on.
The bikini fashion show benefit started at REAL in Hatteras in 2011 when Sensi Graves decided to put on a show to raise money for her team's entry into Kiteboarding 4 Cancer. It was such a successful event that she did another one this year, raising over $8000 for Athletes for Cancer combined in the two years of events.
With that success, Colleen and Sensi decided it would be a great idea to have a benefit out in Hood River before this year's Kiteboarding 4 Cancer. Colleen has been working on tonight's party for a month -- inviting and organizing various local swimwear brands (yes there are swimwear designers in Hood River!) to be involved for a great cause. I am 100% stoked and in support of what Colleen and Sensi have put together because they are solid girls with enthusiasm and genuine intentions.
Tonight's event will highlight the designers and shops who whole-heartedly support the cause (Sensi Bikinis, Melika, Doug's Sports, 2nd Wind Sports), while also featuring the Kiteboarding 4 Cancer Boards of Hope project on the runway. You will not want to miss seeing these amazing boards that have been transformed by artists into beautiful works of art. These boards will be on display tonight at the British Pub parking lot as part of the Bikini Benefit and also at Kiteboarding 4 Cancer on Friday and Saturday. They will be auctioned off next Saturday night at KB4C.
So, for anyone questioning the nature of tonight's event .... no one is forcing you to go. But, you'll be missing a great event with great creativity, passion and generosity behind it.
Oh ya... and just a reminder of the program this benefits: http://www.athletes4cancer.org/programs
Hope to see you all tonight at the Benefit!!
