Looks like Jones beach or the south coast might be where all the action is this weekend. It's windfest this weekend that always kills the wind Very Happy

Temira's weather forecast is calling for super warm temps and decent kite-able winds, mainly in the Corridor area (Stevenson to Hood River).

Only hiccup is that the Event Site will be closed off to kiteboarding during the Windfest Windsurf Demo weekend (Sat-Sun)
BUT!
The Sandspit and the Marina Beach are both open for kiteboarding and have been pretty damn nice to launch and land from, especially the Marina Beach.

What skill level does one need to be at in order to navigate the spit and/or marina launch?

I'm hoping to get out, but am just getting to the point where I can ride upwind with some level of regularity...

Thanks

I wouldn't go to HR if you are still working on going up wind. Jones beach is going off Fri-sat-sun, so I'd just stick to Jones. It's so forgiving on the upwind-learning stage - by the end of the weekend you could be proficient in upwind riding both ways.

The marina is out unless your consistent with going upwind... No nice landings downwind from there.
