Sat Jun 16, 12 11:29 pm Lost and Found Board/ What do I do now? |

So this is a cross between a cautionary tale and a what-do-I-do-now post.
So I lost my Liquid Force board on Thursday from Stevenson. It was last seen ripping down the current towards the Bridge of the Gods. I had my name on the board, posted in lost and found, and called the dam ranger station. Well low and behold I get a call mid day today (Saturday) from a family who happened to be boating on the river who found my board. (Woo Hoo!!) The fun part is that they found it around Beacon Rock....the other side of the dam from where I lost it....not sure how it made it through, but some how it managed to survive either the turbines or the spillway drop. Needless to say I was a little surprised....(please read: holy crap batman!!) Moral of the story make sure your name is on your gear! It really does help.
Now for the what-do-I-do-now part....needless to say the board is a little scuffed up around the edges. My first though was to just use a file to knock off the worst parts and then a little sandpaper for the rest, but I also wondered if I should use a little heat form an iron to smooth things out first and/or re-seal the edges anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks
