Can I ask one question, How do you know the Port can't wait to kick you out of there? Can you give us some evidence of this? That would be something I'd action on, and fight to put a stop too. Kayak rentals are much appreciated on the water front, just like SUP/windsurf rentals. There is plenty of room for everything.

Have you seen the "Hybrid Approach" drawings the Port of Hood River has as an option? That new bay they propose digging would be an IDEAL place to rent kayaks.

Just so that everyone knows The Slider Project is 100% kiteboarding and has absolutely nothing to do with the cable park. Don't let this Derek character fool you by trying to convince you that his boss somehow did something to support the cable park which is in no way related to the slider project and kiteboarding...

hey dangler,

feel free to come on down to the kayak shed and to discuss my personal opposition to the cable park.

I do not speak for my boss. He is neutural on the subject and has offered to help out with a one day kayak offer for our group. He has also offered the slider project a place to put their slider and have a place to work on it for the last three or so years.

So is he now pro cable park because of his help to them? Seems hes just a good guy who has helped out both causes.

If you really must know, the columbia gorge kayak schools makes most of the money from the rental business and the port cant wait to kick us out of there as soon as lot 1 gets a developer. If you were at the meeting I attended with forest and his group you would have heard just that.

Enough with your personal attacks on the Kayak Shed and its owner. If you have problem with me come on down and discuss it with me.

What I love, is that he (scooter) deleted his version of Dangler's PM. Nice..... I do not have any skin in this game as I am out of the area now. One reason I do not come back and visit Hood River to kite, is there is nothing for my family to do except sit around and watch me kite. They are not too excited about that so I have to go to other areas vacation spots that allow me to kite. To bad about the cable park, because they would be into that. Bummer there are the few jerk offs that are F'ing this up for the rest of the community. Sometimes I hate how the law works.
