Keep your eye on the actuals for an after work sesh at SI. The forecast looks promising.

If it still looks good this afternoon, I'll head out and post an OSR.

Mid-teens in the weather.com forecast. Blowing like crazy in town right now. Strong N flow in the upper level. Still have strong river current.

BUT, Partly cloudy, and MM5 shows light rain starting around 5pm. MM5 is usually pretty accurate, especially for same day forecasts....

Time will tell.

So it turned on quick right after most people left (sound familiar?). Three of us got the goods for only about a half hour until the huge black storm got too close for comfort.

About 10 mins after the last of us were packing up, the wind direction did an almost immediate 180 flip and went from north mid-teens to south mid-teens! Lots of lightning flashes off in the distance still to the east.

Parts of the road on the way out were littered with branches and goodies. It must have gusted hard through there. I'm glad I wasn't on the water when the direction flipped, and I'm glad we didn't get the mini monster gusts where we were.

Slither- You left you kid's kickboard on the beach. It doesn't fit me, so I want to give it back to you.

I hit Woodland at 1:30 at it was rocking!! 11m kite, Steady 18-20mph with gusts of mid 20's. died off quick at about 4pm though, barely made it back to shore. Just shut off and only looping kept the kite in the air. came back up 30min later for a 14m session.
