Definitely a shade under water for now.
The water levels forecast looks to show the water levels starting to drop slowly through this next week.
The extra rain and higher temps, along with now new snow in the mountains, all added up to give us some extra water to keep the levels a bit higher for a while.
The CGKA, CGWA and the Port of Hood River have re-evaluated the past months Event Site agreement and the plan is to continue forward with the protocol of allowing kiteboard launch and land access at the Event Site until there is adequate sandbar exposure for safe kiteboarding, and as long as the kiteboard community continues to follow the established guideline rules that we established.
Always remember :
Pump in the pump/dry zone and set your lines before moving down to the launch zone.
When landing, land in the landing zone, roll up your lines and move your gear out of the way for others to launch and land.
**If your gear is in the way of others access to safely move around or launch and land nearby, expect to have others move your gear for you.
**If someone moves your gear, say "thank you" and appreciate that others are doing this for you. We've been hearing of some people bitching out others for touching their gear when it is in their way. This is no way to act, nor to treat others who are just trying to get either down to the beach or up from the beach.
If your not actively using your gear, please keep your gear cleaned up and out of others access way to and from the beach _________________ [b:13763ca0d3]The CGKA is your advocate for Kiteboarding in the Gorge! [i:13763ca0d3] Join now: [/i:13763ca0d3]GorgeKiter.com/join[/b:13763ca0d3] |
