Uh, except for half pipe? I know you said "summer games" but still, that's a strong example against what you're saying.

You're dreaming if you think hitting sliders (or any kind of freestyle) will ever be considered for the summer games.

Nak, curling is pretty fun. I can personally attest to the fact that running around on ice with your friends while drunk is very entertaining, especially when someone gets laid
Thumb's Up

Yeah man, winter games is a whole different thing. Maybe someday you'll see snowkite freestyle there....I honestly doubt it, although I'd love to watch it instead of curling

Where's the skating half pipe or surfing at the Olympic Summer games?

Half pipe in the winter games really comes down to who does the most technical tricks the most flawless...those guys are all sick and make it look good regardless.

But what you'd get for freestyle kiting in the olympics is the same poop they love so much on PKRA, which I thought most of you guys thought was unstylish and "gay"??

I try not to have an opinion of kiteboarding these days. I find that the stronger my opinion of kiting is, the more I'd rather sit on the beach and drink. Twisted Evil

I'm totally for it. I know the likelihood of getting to the Rio are slim, but does anyone know what/where the qualifiers are in order to make it the the Olympics?

Are there any rules/restrictions that people should know? IE: size/type of kite/boards...

First of all since slopestyle snowboarding and skiing have been added to the olympics u cant really say the olympics isnt the right venue for the sort of thing. Why do you think Cable is being considered for the 2016 games? I think cable is a more controlled environement though, and thus a better event than kiteboarding for something like the olympics. Cable is pretty much like kiting in perfect conditions, without the freedom that the kite presents to you. So for a contest, cable riding makes a lot more sense than kiteboarding.
