I'm interested in some feedback on this video. You've seen me post lots of snowkite stuff and I'm starting to move into film. This is one of my first edits. I was hoping to make an unatractive location in the middle of Idaho farmlands as interesting as I could. I've learned alot about filming and editing techniques from my friends Wayne and Pascal. I've also watched lots of youtube and vimeo howto videos. All filmed on the Canon 60D.

3min long...

Thanks,
Will

Nice movie! Gives me the nostalgic feeling of the older Warren Miller ski movies. Stay with it.

Not bad Will, def had a days gone by feel to it b/c of the narration.

You captured the angle of the dangle quite nicely, the visuals were much better than the site description.

Who wants to kite at a 'mud lake' anyway?

Only in Idaho.....At least we got Lucky Peak, the catabatic flowmaster!!!!

Thanks for the feedback JMacMatic.

Actually, I really want to go to Lucky Peak. I used to watch all the sessions posts people would make, and watch a weatherstation that used to be right on the dam I think. When I was starting out I accidently discovered catabatic wind in our valley so I looked all over the region for a simmilar effect. I found the powerplant weatherstation by Ogden, Ut and Lucky Peak. Now we regularly session Palisades nearly everytime you session Lucky Peak.

I'll probably make a short edit about that one day.

Come on over, the SW Idaho desert is a heckuva lot warmer. Today was solid 12m with 50° water. Not bad for mid-May. Mud lake does look alot like our li'l puddle Indian Creek reservoir. Its just big enuf for 5 kiters at a time. Smile
