I want to thank whoever it was who fished my board out of the river off Wells yesterday afternoon and returned it safely to the event site. By the time I made my way back to the event site you were gone (thanks to those who kept an eye on it on the beach too). If you were the one who rescued the board, please let me know. I would very much like to thank you directly.
Thanks too to the crew of Strega who delivered me back to the mainland from Wells Island. You guys are fantastic, and I was really happy to see the most sailed boat in the gorge come by when it did!
Humbled and grateful.

Doug....no worries on the board retrieval and there is no way that beautiful blue Jimmy Lewis was going to float away. I dropped the board with Dangler to keep safe and then came back to possibly drag you or your kite but you were smart about tucking into Wells since jet-ski support this time of year is damn near impossible. Great to hear Strega picked you up after your Wells chest deep walk from end to end because a Hook swim would be no fun.
At least you were killing it before the mishap! Good times amigo. |
