From your earlier question, Ivy bridge should be out this summer. I believe the latest macs will come with it.
I game with an I-7 and it is amazing. I-5 isn't that much of a step down, and depending on the game you will most likely be graphics limited. that being said, if you are trying to build a top of the line machine, go with the I-7 you can never have too much speed PLus it overclocks awesome. |

I have that same case. Love it. So much room. So nice and easy to work with and looks great. Apparently they have two versions of that case, make sure you get the one with the front side USB 3.0 connectors. As long as your Mobo supports USB 3.0, you can connect those front slide slots straight to the Mobo. _________________ __________________________

Went with the I-5. Prolly will just upgrade to ivy bridge next winter depending on what the benefits of that will be. Definitely should be able to run any game on Ultra with this setup I'm thinking. For the next 6 months to a year at least. The 680 is pretty much more powerful than doing crossfire or Sli with any other cards out there right now, at least for the price of the one 680 over two other cards to put out that same power. _________________ I heart dangling |

You can always get another 680 later, when they're cheaper. |
