Great times in Grand Caymen. It is expensive but the wind is steady, snorkeling excellent and you have the place to yourself. Your stopperball was invented for this place.....D.

Ahhh, yeah..that looks so warm and nice right now...I honeymooned there...never saw a single whitecap. Figured that's why it's so good for diving. Opposite side driving as I recall...and frogs/crabs are the abundant road kill vs. racoons/possums.

It stays pretty flat right...no waves to speak of?
Thumb's Up

Yes there was plenty of crabs around. There are waves but in most cases it is quite dicey. You have to split the gap through the reef and get outside it. Then you sort of linger around the opening because if you go down you will end up on the reef. The easy place to ride waves is right in front of the reef hotel. They have a channel that allows waves to come inside the reef. Wicked current will suck you out if you have an issue....

I went there last year in March.. The east end of the island at the public park was the best.. !! And you said it, steady steady winds like no other, and all to yourself. There are only a few kiters that live there, but wind every single day and inside the reef is true butter.. I weigh 200lbs and was on my 13m most of the time. Everyone should be able to go just once to really understand it..!! I ride on Lake Michigan, but nothing compares to Cayman..Great memories.!!

I love warm water and wind, that looks so nice right now as I stare out the window at 41 degrees and hail squalls.
