Just wait for high pressure and get there early. We have found that the earlier you get there the better the wind direction. I took a brand new pair of skis and did some serious damage! Take your rock boards. The place just needs a little new snow to make it sweet. But it is still fun! The last time we were there we were actually able to ride 1-2 miles across the summit ridge to the north and there was tons of room up there and the farther we went the better the snow and terrain. The wind can be alot stronger at the top so maybe take two kites up the hill so you dont get to scared to do the ridge traverse in the strong wind! Craters is sooooo much fun! Also after the next storm big southern butte will be good to go. If there is only 3-10 inches of new snow in the next storm I bet you can drive on the road to the butte instead of snowmobile. Maps can be bought at the gas station in arco. Hope to see y'all out there!

Sweet video. Now this is the proper way of ascending and descending hills.

F-cast looks promising for this weekend.

Anytime you see snow showers during the day, it's about 80% that there will be wind.

Friday looks the best so far w/Easterlies @ 7-9 which means that at the Last Chance spot it'll be blowing 15-20.
