trying to figure out whether Skyline or other spots will be windy Thursday to Sunday 2/16-2/19 Anyone reading this have any insight to offer? Weather Underground and NOAA don't seem very optimistic but maybe they are not forecasting for up on the plateau. i searched through old postings but didn't see any forecasting tips.....waiting for a moderator to give me access to the Utah windriders forum so i can hopefully get some local knowledge. Flying with Soutwest so can easily cancel for a credit if the forecast sucks.....

Pull the trigger, you won't be disappointed. Forecasting wind is sketchier than playing russian roulette with a Chechnyan.

If you go, it'll blow and if you don't--you'll never know. 80% of the time, it works for me everytime. Laughing

I'm here in Salt Lake with access to the Windriders board but unfortunately it's down at the moment. I'll pass along any information that I can gather about potential wind.

NOAA is fairly reliable for predicting wind @ Skyline. The forecast is for snow & West wind which means it's gonna blow at elevation 9,600 where the kite sites at.

Also, you don't need membership to check the weather links on the Utahwindriders site: http://www.utahwindriders.com/weather.php

With the lack of snow at Strawberry,
The Superfly event looks like it will now be at Skyline this weekend
(not official)
