Some of you know Tom from the Windsurfing days, kiting in Stevenson or La Ventana.

Tom was taken from us by a rare form of cancer about 2 months ago. He fought the fight like no other. He had lots of great days after his diagnosis and out lived the short prognosis he had by about three years.

Tom was a great man, kiter, husband and friend. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. RIP Tom! We love you my friend.

we will sure miss his smile and his energy on the water and beach. I looked forward to every trip to ventana to be able to spend time with he and his wife Lynee. such a wonderful person. my family and i will miss u so much Tom.

I will always keep you in my thoughts when on the water and kite in your memory at KB4C.

I started kiteboarding one year after Tom did.
When I was learning he always had positive advice and over time became a friend that I looked forward to seeing. It seemed as if I was always watching Tom kite so that I could see what I needed to learn next. Tom will be missed by all that got to know him.

Miss you Tom! Thankful for the several seasons we had, but was much too short. The world and kite community is much lesser in your absence. You are in inspiration. RIP Tom.

he definitely fought the good fight with a great outlook through all the ups/downs
Loved Tommy's attitude.

Helps remind what's really important in life.

Tom was a great man...Constant comedian, consummate gentleman and all-around fun guy. We had a small memorial/celebration of his life for all those who knew him down here in la Ventana. He will be missed!

Really sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. From the pics it looks like he sure knew how to live and get the most out of each day. Rest in peace!!

We'll miss you Tom.

I always remember him smiling and joking at the beach and always enjoyed the time we spent around him. We'll be thinking of him in next summer's KB4C event.
