Great little video of a crew of kids shredding a system 2.0 cable in Charleston. ( a 2 tower system, like the little bro on the Naito's plan for the HR park)
Would be great to drive by nichols boat basin on spring/summer/fall afternoons and be able to see the local Hood River kids (and 30 somethings!) able to ride, progress and push each other like this!

Can't wait! Looking into my crystal ball I see that Madison is world cable champion in 12 years and she has to compete against the guys cause she's way to good for the girls. |

Cable seems neat, BUT, I bet you will be waiting in line more than you will be riding _________________ 1 OF 1 |

I spent my early 20s hanging out at TSR down in San Antonio, and just this past spring my wife and I took my 2 year old down and spent two and a half months riding TSR.
I speak from experience when I say there are a few reasons this won't be the case.
1) Lap counter. The cable can count laps and cut people off if they say, do more than 5 laps. It's very efficient in implementing this, so when it cuts someone off it puts another person on the cable at the same time.
2) Fatigue. Until you're shaped like an inverted triangle, with latissimus dorsi muscles the size of beef briskets, you're going to get tired after the first lap. The good thing is the more you ride, the stronger you get. The cool side effect of this is that it's the same muscle groups that you use when you unhook from your kite and hold the bar in.
3) Vibe at the Dock: When it is crowded and the lap counter is going, it encourages people to try a new trick. People will do this near the starting dock resulting in everyone's entertainment. It clears up a carrier, you get to work on a new trick, and everyone gets to watch in amazement as you learn a backroll to blind in 3 tries... The reason it's near the dock is because that results in the shortest walk. |

That is good to hear Forrest, I was picturing Disney World at peak season with the signs saying how long you have to wait. What did it cost to ride it? I can do 10 pullups is that useful? _________________ 1 OF 1 |

Forrest speaks from truth about getting tired, something makes the cable infinitely more tiring than riding behind the boat. I guarantee you wont be able to ride much longer than an hour your first day at the cable and not feel like a weak piece of shit afterwards. Really cant wait for this to happen. _________________ I heart dangling |

My only experience is the cable park in Singapore. The lines can get longer on the weekends for sure. Nothing too onerous though, I'll bet. Hopefully there'll be an outdoor bar right by the line. It makes for a great break while letting your muscles recover for another run! |
