The CGKA Board has been working hard this year. A special focus has been the Event Site and Marina dealing with high water access. The CGKA is present at every relevant Port and City meeting in Hood River, including the Waterfront Committee. This is your voice!
Maybe it’s time for you, or someone you know to step-up and serve on the Board of Directors. Five of eleven seats will be rotating off. You can influence the direction of kiting in the Gorge, help with operations, and make some new kiting friends!
You don’t have to be an expert kiter to serve, just share our passion for the sport. This year we need help with membership and accounting functions. We meet in Hood River once a month for 2 hours, and are responsible for misc. tasks between meetings. Remote Directors can participate by phone. Additionally you may serve as a site liaison and/or help with events or clean ups.
If you are interested to serve, or know someone who is, please respond to admin@cgka.net. Send your name and email address. Later you will be asked to submit a brief bio. The Board is elected by general membership in early January. DEADLINE December 23rd.
