Will,
It was really cool reading your first post on this thread. All this new vocab and terminology that is snowkite specific. I am a coastal dweller that has spent thousands of hours in the water, but no time in the snow with a kite in my hands. After reading your post and seeing the photos, I really want to check it out this season. Water kiting and snowkiting are related, but so different in many ways. Most likely will just do the Cascades, but the desire has been sparked to learn the snowkite deal!!

the cascade kiters best tool is a snowmobile ... great deals on craiglook..
patients and availability makes the experience more forgiving in most of Oregon.
Brad and Matty (Sol)are your best resources along with this website and google.
Kiting on snow is incredible and much more chill than the Ocean on average.
If you dig south beach ......snowkiting will be a hoot.... do you like cold wind??
You will learn what your kite can really do.... then apply it to 2012 wave sessions. |

Park-N-Ride in Big Horns will continue as long as Hwy 14A stays open from Lovell to Burgess Junction. That usually means around Thanksgiving.
It looks good for strong winds for the next seven days... See y out there
