I'm stoked on a business trip coming up that's taking me to Barcelona for a week....
I'll most likely be traveling a bit after or before as well..

This all came up pretty last minute, but wanted to throw some questions out there in case anyone has some helpful input.

I'll be in Barcelona Nov 12th-17th... pretty busy the 14th-16th, then probably staying through the 20th or so.

Anyone have any feedback on places to kite, and/or close places I should try and hit up...?

I have seen kiters in Barcelona back in 04', but just trying to see how realistic it would be to get a session or 2 in while I'm there...

Any waves close-by? ( I know waves in Portugal, etc, but maybe something up by San Sebastian would be closer)?

I'll probably be traveling light and looking for an Airush shop to grab gear from....

Let me know if anyone has any beta!

thanks!

I would watch the forecast. San Sebastian wind is very frontal dependent at this time of year. The way I look at it you have 3 great options from Barcelona; San Sebastian, Tariffa and Leucate (France). For San Seb to work you need your own gear as there is likely nowhere to rent stuff. Tariffa has plenty of rentals but no waves. Leucate is by far the closest and has rentals but may be chilly at this time of year.

On the non kiting side San Sebastian is an awesome place. Plenty to do if it doesn't blow - great surf, excellent tapas, lots of history and good night life. With your timeframe Tariffa may be a bit too far but it's a fantastic drive from Barcelona down. The town is a really cool mix of european and north african flavors, full of small bars, restaurants and clubs. Leucate is the most low key of the three. More of a local spot vibe...
