Here's the link to the Cable park video.

We're in NJ and got a session at Sandy Hook with Green Hat kiteboarding with NY city in the back ground. Really neat flat water kiting location. About 30 people came to see the RV and kite. Wind is off today but we're going out tomorrow the off to the NY kite center. Pic coming soon!

Carol, tell Tony to open his hands up on the bar when he's riding the cable. Will help with feeling more comfortable and loading even on his feet.

I still think that's super sick picture of Tony. Just goes to show how if you can do a trick behind the kite, you can do it on the cable even easier.

Good call. Funny, when we wakeboarded all the time, we were always telling people to get their hands as wide as possible on the bar, now with kiting we are always telling people to get their hands close together. dammit why can't board sports just make up it's mind?

Thanks guys! And thanks for the tip on the hands. I thought I was doin' it right!

That was actually my first try at a raley on the cable. Surprised the hell out of my self at how fast it all happened. Got good pop but it sure seemed like I came down fast. I managed to get my feet under me and land but it wasn't as smooth or stylish as it should have been.

First time in boots and on a board with no fins. That was a strange feeling! Right under the cable the speed felt pretty good, maybe a hair fast, but as soon as you cut out to the side the acceleration was wicked fast. I think I was holding the edge too long and basically getting yanked off the water rather than a true load and pop when I wanted to come off the water. The high speed made too chicken to try an S-bend. Next time!

The cable park was a lot of fun and you can see how a few sessions on it would dramatically improve your kiting. Eric Reinstra was there as well and was killing it! I'll get Carol to post some pics of what he was doing.

Tony

Tony, put some fins on next time, will make a world of difference. You'll be able to feel the cable a lot more, and you'll know when to make your final cut for the pop. It'll just give the cable a more analog feel, rather than it being so on and off (digital). Also, it won't feel as crazy.
