They're here! I truly love the Easterlies, except that it's the sign that Summer is almost over.... The following forecast generally underestimates easterlies:
WESTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...ROOSTER ROCK...CASCADE LOCKS...HOOD
RIVER...STEVENSON...CARSON...SKAMANIA
304 AM PDT FRI SEP 2 2011
SATURDAY...SUNNY. HIGHS 80 TO 85 NEAR HOOD RIVER...AND 85 TO 90 ELSEWHERE. EAST WIND 5 TO 10 MPH INCREASING TO 15 TO 20 MPH IN THE AFTERNOON. GUSTS TO 35 MPH.

with that said, and I'm by no means shit talking anyones preference or where they go to hang with like minded folks, I'd like to do the dalton to rooster parking lot downwinder and avoid the 'skin on skin' volleyball and all of that. Will throw out a post to see who's in when i see tonights forecast with some timelines related to wind

0700 and it's allready blowing 30 mph at the East end of Rooster. And it's supposed to build throughout the day!
