For those of you who are not aware, our beloved Nate Appel is moving on to more eastern pastures (no he is not going to Japan), heading back to Hatteras to take on some new challenges and bigger opportunities in the kite industry.

I'll let him fill you in on his details, because the most important thing here is to send him off in a NWkite fashion.

Nate, we'll miss you supremely (although we did hardly see you this winter Wink

You've been a solid icon for the NWKite and 2nd Wind crew (not to mention ASI, Gorge Performance and Windance.) for a long time and we owe you a lot, more than can be measured .
You've helped garner visibility and respect for gorge kiteboarding, the CGKA, the Slider Project and just about everyone who has set foot on the Sandbar.

Anyways, I'd like to use this post as an opportunity to send you off with respect and style in mind, and this is just how I want to always remember you.

You've been a great friend, co-worker, and downwind adventure wingman.

My memory of Nate is us coming back from Hatteras and getting laid over overnight in Newark, NJ... and since both of us had never been to New York we pulled an all nighter there in our flip flops and boardshorts despite the 50 degree weather. Fun night... I think Nate got hit on by at least three times and I am pretty sure at least two were girls.

Dogg...haven't seen you much this past year with work and the new kid keeping me busy but your always fun and chill attitude will be missed. Can't wait to see what gems Cineaptic will push next.
