There is no pressure difference, but the temp difference from Astoria to Portland should be large this afternoon. Anyone want to school me here?

Spent 5 hours at Jones on Friday/last night. Lackluster session on a barely powered 15m and a surf board. Astoria must have cleared off and overheated.
My abiding rule for winds at Jones? If you look at a satellite image and see that the marine clouds have burned back away from Astoria, and the pacific ocean is showing... no Jones Beach wind.

Thanks Wileyflyote, for saving me 4 hours of driving and 12 hours of listening to 2cycle engines with zero "under kite" time. Just checked the sat. images and lo and behold- the clouds have burned away from the coast. Guess I'll just have to sit this weekend out. Seems like everyplace is skunked today and tomorrow...
