Wed Aug 30, 06 9:56 pm Anyone hitting the coast tomorrow? |
|
|
Looks like the coast might be going off tomorrow with winds in the 15-20knt range (with potential to go a bit higher). Anyone planning on riding and/or interested in a down winder? Might be best wind out there for the next few days so would be sweet to organize something. I might try to get there by 3pm if it looks good in the early afternoon. Small craft advisory for wind is in effect...that's good for strong wind right?
Checked forecast again this morning and looks like it might not fill in til late...so probablyl wait for the East wind tomorrow. |

It's going to be epic at Sunset strip for the next 3 days.
20mph ---70 degrees and sunny....8 foot combined swell.

So you're saying we should drop everything and get out there and ride?
If there was potential for a downwinder (maybe from lot B to Sunset) I could be persuaded into leaving work early...of course I want to see a bit of wind on the sensors first. Is the Clatsop Spit sensor in a big lull right now?
Are you planning on riding today? |

Sorry...bad call. And the forecast changed pretty radically.
It isn't scheduled to blow here on the north coast. Gorge looks better today. |

Bummer about the coast. I was really looking forward to slashing some waves today, but we take what we can get. Let's hope for some good wind in the Gorge today |

Huh, it's already blowing 16mph here in Manzanita and it's not even noon. Sunday had 2hrs on my 12m, but was a little gusty. |

You're right...looks like it went off today. I guess the forecast wasn't super good so I thought it might not happen. Oh, well, still had an awesome time in the Gorge.
Thanks for the info. |
