Sun Jul 31, 11 11:06 am Slingshot bar repair tip... |

Usually tips and bars come with a gin and tonic, but today it's all about bar repair.
I'm definitely no expert on the subject. There might be better ways and ideas but this is what my petty little brain came up with this weekend while fixing my Slingshot bar.
Whenever you need to remove (or replace) your chicken loop line you'll have to get the loop on the end of the line off of the steel post that keeps it in place. It's actually harder than it sounds. I figured out that a paint can opener is super fantastic at doing this small task. It's long, has a hook shape on the end, and has no sharp edges that would cut the line.
That's it. That's all I've got for today.
Next week's lesson is how to pop a beer cap with your nostril.
(Now if someone would let me know a better way to lace that thick rope back through everything without using pure force, I'd be more than appreciative.)
