Let's go for it Sunday July 17. We'll do the weather watch but if it a go, we meet at noon and get a start around 1 or 1:30. If bad wind, lets take the Sat July 30th as a backup day.

Rule of thumb is that you should have a least one successful Stevie to HR run under your belt before you show up. If you have never done this and you think you can make it, then do some practice runs first. Its not the distance as 17 miles is nothing, its knowing the river.

Looks-like 7/17's the last day of R.S. Throwdown. Could be a great day for an unofficial B.O., since the migratory kiteboarding throngs will be in-town for the event. May not be so good if slider event's actually goin' that day. ...Would love to see the B.O. pushed slightly later (because gonna be outa' town on 7/17) but that's not really part of the overall picture.

Let's push it out to the following choice of days so we don't conflict with Rosham.

Sat - July 30
Sun July 31st
Sat Aug 6th
Sun Aug 7th.

This will give more people time to do a practice run too!

Lets shoot for theses dates. We'll watch the weather. Its been rainy this week in Stevie so we must be set for a weather change.

Anyone with support would be awesome especially cars to drive the WA side or help at the event site. BBQ grill, BEERS, etc.

I'm in!

Will try to make sure a case of beer somehow magically appears out of nowhere.

Are there still unofficial plans for the unofficial blowout this weekend?

According to Temira, Sunday should be windier, but there is also an outrigger canoe event happening this weekend.

ikitesurf says lighter winds picking up by Saturday afternoon, but possibly some clouds reaching Stevenson on Sunday.

Sunday looks better so let try for Sunday. We'll watch it tomorrow and let everyone know.

We're looking for a few volunteers to be at the finish line with a notebook to take down some names as people come in. We have a couple yellow flags that are going to HR today and that person can pick them up from Shannon at Horse Feathers.
